IDRENOR
Prior to Almera, Idrenor was simply a large expanse lacking any kingdoms, territories, or civilization. Individuals were afraid of one another and banded together in small clusters in order to stay alive. Official, regulated land ownership did not exist; individuals fiercely battled for land to claim as their own.
Only when Almera, a youthful warrior, began disseminating the message of a unified nation did individuals begin recognizing the possibility of a life beyond fear and warfare. She was not just any warrior, she was Blest. She brought the people together and gave the land the name Idrenor. Since that moment, individuals resided peacefully united in a large realm governed by her.
However, this did not last. Raadin, Marshal of one of the troops, labeled her as a dictator. Despite her past accomplishments in Idrenor, the younger generations were dissatisfied with her leadership style, as they started to question her authority. They began to resist her total control, and an increasing number of individuals started backing the rebellion.
In 764, a Great War erupted between supporters of Almera and supporters of Raadin. Both armies were powerful and merciless, and following five years of conflict, Idrenor was divided between them in 769. Therefore, the regions of Almeran and Rodale came into existence.
Over time, as memories of history faded, more wars occurred, frequently triggered by dissatisfaction with the ruling monarch and gathering enough support for change. This resulted in the rise of additional kingdoms (TBA).
Now we arrive at the present year, which is 1042. Almera and Raadin have been largely forgotten by the majority of people, but not the ruling monarch of Almeran; Lorelle Oldenburg, descendant of Almera. Her goal is to bring Idrenor together once again, to bring back the unity that once existed in the continent of Idrenor, in Almera’s name.
